Physical Education Newsletter
Dear Parent(s):
We are excited about having your child in our physical education class this year. We will be participating in a wide variety of games and activities. Your child will have P.E. one day a week for an hour. Proper dress is essential. Please make sure that he/she wears tennis shoes, shorts/ skorts or long pants. PLEASE no dresses or skirts (except religious reasons).
Safety is of the utmost importance in P.E. Listening and following direction are critical to the welfare of everyone. Accidents are sometimes unavoidable, but failure to follow directions can have drastic results.
Cooperation is another aspect of physical education. Students are required to work together peacefully. Failure to work together in a group can disrupt the entire class.
Lifelong success depends on the individual to be self-disciplined. The classroom discipline plan enables each student to manage his / her behavior. A positive educational climate enhances academic growth and success. The following rules will be enforced at all times.
1. Listen and follow direction.
2. Respect others and their property or equipment.
3. Keep hands and feet to yourself.
4. Dress properly for P.E.
5. Be a good sport.
The consequences of choosing not to follow these rules will result in the following actions.
1. Verbal warning.
2. Time- Out
3. Note written home in the agenda book.
4. Office referral.
Any severe violations will result in automatic referral to the office.
We have gone over this discipline plan with the students, but we would appreciate it if you would also review it with your child.
